According to legend, the Dutch captain Van Der Decken returned from the East Indies in 1641, with a young couple on board. The captain fell in love with the bride and decided to kill her fiancé and marry her herself - but she threw herself overboard and died.
During an attempt to round the Cape of Good Hope, the ship ended up in a severe storm. This led to dissatisfaction among the superstitious sailors, but the captain shot them and swore that none of the crew would go ashore until they rounded the headland - even if it would take forever. A voice from heaven said, "So be it!" - and so the flying Dutchman was doomed to sail the seas indefinitely.
Flying Dutchman is a handmade, vegan fragrance oil made from natural ingredients with grape seed oil as a base. It is a dynamic sea scent with wood essence of cedar at the bottom and citrus from bergamot and lime at the top, to mimic the fresh sea breeze. It comes in a silver-colored cylinder container with a roll-on applicator for easy use.
