DESCRIPTION

Black, short-sleeved dress with an illustration by Anna Hanni. It is named after a female mythological being from the Slavic mythology. The origin of the name comes from two different roots: kikí, an ancient Baltic-Slavic root meaning "crooked / humpback" and mara, a Slavic root meaning dead.

Kikímaras can appear in different shapes, they could for an example look like small crooked and disfigured old women dressed in rags. Sometimes they were found in swamps or forests and their favorite way to make the time pass was weaving and divinations. They could also be accused of abducting children and in their place they left enchanted firewood.
