Jar Mushrooms

LIV SANDBERG

Small jar decorated with mushrooms. The jar is dark gray, almost black and changes slightly in different colors depending on where the light hits it. The mushrooms are glossy and change in the colors green, orange, red and brown.

The jar is hand-rolled in stoneware and then fired with the raku technique for a unique and cracked surface.

Liv is a ceramist based in Järna outside Stockholm. She works exclusively in stoneware and sculpts, rolls and hand-builds her creations. They are then fired with alternative firing techniques such as raku, sawdust barrel, saggar fire, pit fired, naked raku, etc.
