PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Organic black longsleeve with an illustration by the Irish artist Harry Clarke (1889-1931). He drew several motifs for Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's play Faust from 1808 and this illustration was named "Wizards and Warlocks". The drama is based on the myth of Doctor Faustus, who is said to have sold his soul to the devil. The longsleeve has been named "Warlock" as the word originally comes from the Old Norse/Old English wǣrloga, which means "vow breaker", "traitor" or even "devil worshipper". In context, the quote "On a road like this men droop and drivel, while woman goes fearless and fast to the devil." has also been found in connection with the motif.
