Remade porcelain figurine that we painted by hand and put our own stamp on. Dorothea was a little girl who is said to have wandered the forest paths around the farms in Gråmyrheden in Dalarna during the late 19th century, always with her basket close to her. At first, no one knew what she was carrying. The villagers thought she was collecting herbs or leftovers, but those who followed her at dusk never returned. Dorothea, however, did, and then with blood stains on her face and nightgown and the basket overflowing with fresh body parts and entrails. Anyone who met her gaze received a grotesque smile in return, where a row of razor-sharp teeth slowly bared.
The ”Skapelse” comes with a certificate (in Swedish) that proves its authenticity, gives the background story and is signed by the maker.
