ÅSA SCHAGERSTRÖM

Åsa Schagerström is a Swedish graphic novelist and textile artist who lives and works in the countryside in the forests of Sörmland. She sometimes goes by the alias Hemslöjdsgoten, which is where the name of the tarot deck "Tarot of the Handicraft Goth" comes from. In creating the deck, she has used old recycled textiles and the artistic techniques of appliqué embroidery and ornamental needlework, which require great skill and patience.
