Ola Hansson was born in 1860 in Hönsinge, Scania, and died in 1925 in Buyukdere, near Constantinople. Sensitiva Amorosa from 1887 is a sketch, bordering on a prose poem, where erotic fantasies and secretive correspondences are depicted. The decadent Hansson's prose penetrates with its psychological sharpness deep into the shadowy sides of society, where man is subjected to dark forces such as sexual desire, anxiety and the lure of crime. In addition to Sensitiva Amorosa, the book contains two other of his most important prose works: Ung Ofegs Visor and Parias.
